Genuine WWII felt insignia, Patrol Torpedo Boat of the US Navy, to be worn on the service dress.

The PT Boats were small units of motor torpedo boats used by the US Navy, mostly used in the Pacific, but also saw some use in Europe during Operation Overlord on the shores of Normandy, to protect the main ships from German S-Boots. 

Those units had the purpose of sinking ennemy ships thanks to their speed, maneuverability, firepower and the rather small size of the boats.

One of the most famous commander of PT Boat is the one of PT-109, Lieutenant John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the future president of the United States.
