

Nice genuine WWII USAAF Type L-1 Light Flying Suit. Standardised in November 1944, it was similar to the earlier AN-S-31 suit with zipped front. This type features a pleated back which allows greater freedom of movement and zips at the leg ends to aid the donning of the suit, as well as angled zipped breast pockets and zipped pockets to the thighs and lower legs. All Talon zippers are in working order.
In excellent overall condition, the present suit is complete with all original buttons. The Army Air Forces insignia is clearly visible in the collar and on the left shoulder. Label is clearly legible: Stock No. AAF 8300-784880, Contract No. W33-038 AC-7195, Blue Bell, Inc.
