Extremely rare genuine WWII USAAF ammunition pouch, which could accomodate 20-round magazines for the Thompson submachine gun.
Number 42B15007 visible at the back refers to USAAF Class 13 Equipment and indicates that the present pouch is not of the 'rigger-made' type.
Such pouches were also used by airborne units.
Excellent overall condition; snap fastener is in working order.
