USAAF parachute harness of World War II origin, Seat Type 42G2012, intended for 24-foot and 28-foot parachutes, modified in unit to the Quick Attachable Chest configuration. Manufactured by Switlik Parachute Co., dated 1942, and fitted with its back pad Type 42D-2013, dated July 1943.
The set is accompanied by a USAAF chest parachute of World War II origin, model Quick Attachable Chest Type AN-6513-1A, widely used by bomber crew members. Manufactured by Reliance Mfg. Co., dated 15 April 1944 (canopy not present).
A homogeneous set, preserved in good overall condition. Snaphooks are functional, and the elastic retainers are still present.
