Genuine WWII khaki cotton cloth necktie (chino), which belonged to Cpl. W.J. Bendrick.
In quite good overall condition.
William James Bendrick, Jr. was born on April 2, 1922 in Frackville, Pennsylvania and joined the USMC on January 27, 1942 (service number 368774). He deployed to the Pacific from April 12, 1942 to July 3, 1943 and participated in the Battle of Guadalcanal with Company K, 8th Marine Regiment, then attached to the 1st Marine Division. He was discharged on April 30, 1946 as a Corporal, and passed away on December 17, 1979.
