Genuine WWII US M8 signal pistol, aluminium frame with steel parts, bakelite grips. Manufactured by EVCC (Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Company), bearing mention Pistol, Pyrtotechnic, M-8 and dated 1943. Caliber: 37mm.
Adopted by the USAAF and US Navy in 1942 to supersede the M2 type, this double-action pistol could fire various flares directly from the aircraft thanks to the M1 mount (not included here). The AN-M8 could be used as a conventional signal pistol, too.
Good, used condition.
