Rare genuine WWII US Army M1941 parachute jumper jacket, made in windproof and water-resistant cotton cloth, introduced in early 1941 and superseded by the famous M1942 a few months later.
This type features slanted breast pockets for easier access to contents.
The present coat is in very good overall condition and retains its original waist belt, snap fasteners and Talon zippers.
The left breast pocket has been removed and replaced with the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment insignia.
