Rare genuine WWII Allied map, St. Pierre du Mont, Sheet No. 34/18, N.E., covering the area around Pointe du Hoc, where Companies D, E and F of the 2nd Ranger Battalion fought on June 6 and in the following days. Scale: 1:25,000.
The Western half of Omaha Beach (Vierville-sur-Mer), where the 29th Infantry Division and the 5th Engineer Special Brigade landed along with the remnants of the above-mentioned battalion as well as the 5th Ranger Battalion, is also included.
Second edition, April 1944.
The present map, which was found in Normandy, is in very good overall condition. Dimensions: 19.5in x 24.4in.
