Safe Conduct, Passierschein, ZG. 76, 1944

Genuine WWII Allied safe conduct, edited by the SHAEF and intended for German troops wishing to surrender.

The main text, printed in English, French and German, indicates that any German soldier carrying this document shall be treated according to the laws of war; the reverse features a longer German text informing the soon-to-be prisoner of war of his future detention conditions.

Numbered ZG. 76, the present sheet was air-dropped from November 1944 to February 1945.
