€275.00 Tax included

Genuine WWII US Army grouping, made up of a War Departement identification card for medical personnel and a personal souvenir album, which once belonged to some Captain Adolph Baranowski, Dental Corps.

The card, of the plasticised type introduced in 1944 to supersede the former cardboard version adopted in 1942, was issued in accordance with instructions of the 1929 Geneva Convention, which required that protected military and civilian personnel should carry an official document to be recognized as non-fighting personnel; issued to the aforementioned officer on July 21, 1944.

As for the souvenir album, from which the binding is missing, it retains about two dozens of original photographs taken during his service.

Homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.

Adolph Baranowski was born on June 17, 1916 in La Porte, Indiana. He graduated from the school of dentistry in 1941 and joined the US Army on August 22, 1942. He was discharged on February 14, 1946 as a Captain, and passed away on December 26, 1982.
