Original letter and envelope sent to Private Raymond G. Geddes, Jr., 501st PIR by his father when Ray was stationed at Fort benning, Georgia.
Postmarked on April 19, 1943. A couple of press clippings complete the present lot.
Staff Sergeant Raymond Geddes, Jr., Company G, 3rd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division jumped in Normandy on D-Day and was wounded two days later at the infamous 'Dead Man's Corner'.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
