Dog Tag, Pfc. Capitola Doremus, WAC, 9th Air Force, USAAF, ETO

Nice genuine WWII US Army dog tag, issued to some Capitola E. Doremus, ASN A-205954, vaccinated in 1943, blood type O, Protestant, and indicating the name and address of next-of-kin -- here, her mother.

Very good overall condition.

Capitola Elizabeth Doremus was born on August 9, 1907 in New Jersey and joined the Women's Army Corps on June 10, 1943. She deployed to the United Kingdom with the 9th Air Force, was discharged on October 19, 1945 as a Private First Class, and passed away on August 22, 1985. Her brother William, who served with 216th Armored Medical Battalion, 16th Armored Division, deployed to Europe in early 1945.
