Genuine WWII US Army M-1936 khaki canvas field bag, issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel such as airborne troops and armored crews. Production markings faintly visible, dated 1942.

Good, used condition. Name Dewayne L. Sander and ASN 37089926 have been stenciled on the front.

Dewayne Louis Sander was born on March 7, 1919 in Proctor, Minnesota and joined the US Army on July 16, 1941. He went on to serve with the 629th Tank Destroyer Battalion and landed on Omaha Beach in early July 1944 prior to participating in all major campaigns in Europe, from Normandy to Paris and from the Ardennes to Germany. He was discharged as a Staff Sergeant on November 1st, 1945. He passed away on March 10, 2006.
