Packboard, 2nd Pattern, AMERICAN SEATING CO. 1944

Nice genuine WWII US Army packboard, second pattern, made in shaped plywood; a wide canvas panel laced on the sides cushions the back. Dated March 7, 1944, this packboard was made by American Seating Co.

This type was introduced as a simpler alternative to the earlier Yukon Packboard.

Widely used to carry heavy and bulky loads such as ammunition crates, rations, jerrycans, crew-served weapons, medical equipment, and other various supplies.

Excellent overall condition; complete, apart from the metal cornice intended for being placed in the lower part.
