Nice genuine WWII US Army M3 russet leather shoulder holster intended for the Colt M1911A1 Pistol, caliber .45.

Manufactured by Boyt.

Introduced for Air Forces pilots in 1942, this type was subsequently used in most branches of the military and became particularly popular among airborne troops and armored crews.

Complete and in very good condition; snap fastener and Lift-the-Dot are in working order. 

Laundry number N-7538 has been written on the upper part.

Pistol is not included.
