Genuine WWII US M1942 machete, featuring a 17.80-inch blade and black bakelite grips.

Legitimus type, manufactured by Collins & Co.

Quite good overall condition.

Such tools were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.

Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, made by S. Froehlich Co., Inc. in 1943.
