Genuine WWII US Army anti-vesicant cover in clear and dark green plastic. Contract is dated July 29, 1944.

Once unfolded, this individual protective cover was intended for covering a man with his weapon and equipment. It was also convenient as an overhead cover in a foxhole, or to line its bottom; this item was also used as a shroud in temporary cemeteries. On D-Day, every GI carried two of these with his gas mask.

Unopened condition despite a small tear on the outer envelope.
