Genuine WWII German Brotbeutel 31 canvas musette bag, generally known as 'bread bag'.
Dated 1944.
This piece of gear was standard issue for the German infantryman: although first intended for carrying the daily food ration, it was often used a catch-all for personal belongings.
Complete and in good overall condition -- retains all original metal buttons, D-rings, and leather straps.
