Amazing genuine WWII Japanese flag of the Hinomaru yosegaki type, made in rayon.

A traditional gift to Nipponese troops deployed during the campaigns of the Empire of Japan, such flags were adorned with various messages of encouragement prior to being offered to servicemen by their families and friends.

Mention 英雄、知リ更ニ大一歩踏メ(Eiyū, shiri sarani dai ippo fume) visible in the sixth picture could translate as 'Hero, understand and take an even greater step forward!'
