Knife, Trench, M1918, L.F. & C., with Scabbard, USM8

€1,750.00 Tax included

Rare genuine WWI US Army M1918 trench knife, featuring the characteristic knuckle cast handle and double-edged blade; both sides of the guard have been cut off.

Manufactured by L.F. & C. in 1918.

This type was widely issued to US Rangers, Marines and paratroops during the following conflict, until officially superseded by the USM3 in 1943 -- however, many warriors would still prefer the M1918 Trench Knife, as seen in numerous wartime photos.

Good overall condition; comes in some original USM8 bakelite scabbard, from which the tip has been cut off -- the securing strap is fragile and the female part of its snap fastener is missing.

Sale prohibited to minors (D-a category weapon).
