Scabbard, USM6, L&C 1943 FJA
Genuine WWII USM6 russet leather scabbard, featuring strengthening pieces consisting of two rectangular metal plates fastened by four rivets, which keep the leather parts together.
Staples reinforce the top of the sheath on which the hilt rests. The scabbard could be attached to the M1936 belt thanks to the bent-wire hook located in the upper part, while a leather shoe attached in the lower part was designed for being tied around the leg.
Markings USM6 L&C 1943 FJA are still visible on the front, indicating that the present scabbard was manufactured by Lyon & Coulson and inspected by Frank J. Atwood.
Complete and in good overall condition.
