Great genuine Vietnam War US Army M1 helmet, rear rim seam and swivel loops, shell number 1280A.
Canvas chinstrap with steel hook and buckle.
Retains its original liner, of the specific type intended for airborne troops, retaining its cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, black-painted A washers, A yokes, chinstrap and chin cup; the name tag visible inside indicates that it once belongs to some Corporal Corson.
This assembly comes along with a Mitchell Pattern reversible camouflage helmet cover, showing a contract number which corresponds to 1964; an elastic band, intended for carrying small accessories or various camouflage devices, is still present.
Rare homogeneous and complete set, in very good overall condition.
