Knife, Survival, ONTARIO, 1969, with Camouflaged Scabbard, Special Forces

Nice and interesting genuine Vietnam War US Navy survival knife, initially intended for jet pilots and aircrews.

This type was introduced in the late 1950s and soon became popular with most branches of service, particularly in the Special Forces.

Manufactured by Ontario, New York and dated January 1969 (earliest series).

Blade length: 5in.

Good overall condition; comes along with a sharpening stone in its original leather scabbard, showing a black and OD camouflage pattern -- snap fastener is in working order.
