Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, bearing shell number 108B. Original canvas chinstrap with early brass buckle and hook. The outer surface has been adorned with a Captain rank insignia, which was hand-painted on the front.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Firestone, retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and plain A washers.
Nice homogeneous set in good overall condition.
