Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 524L.
Original early production canvas chinstrap with brass hook and buckle.
Some 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia has been painted on the outer surface, while officer's ASN O-340251 is visible on the inner surface.
Quite good, worn condition; the shell shows three points of impact: one on the front, and two on the left rear side.
