Helmet, M1, Medic, 2 Red Crosses, Liner Westinghouse

Very nice genuine WWII USM1 medic helmet with front seam and swivel bales, manufactured by Schlueter, illegible shell number, original canvas strap with 2nd type brass buckle and hook. A red cross has been painted in a white disc on either side of the shell.

Delivered with its genuine helmet liner, of the synthetic resin-coated, compressed-fiber type manufactured by Westinghouse.

Retains its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband with blackened-brass A washers.

Quite good, worn condition; the liner shows a few dents and scrathes on the outer surface.
