Nice genuine WWII US Army ski reversible parka (khaki and white), intended for mountain troops and made up of a double layer of water-repellent poplin.
The present early type has three buttons and a drawstring at the collar, and two large side pockets with buttoned flaps; the following version featured a hood lined with wolf fur.
Such parkas were issued to the First Special Service Force (FSSF) in 1943-1944, and also saw service with various parachute units in Southern France and in the Ardennes in the winter of 1944.
Label is dated November 11, 1942. Size: Medium.
Good, worn condition; retains all original buttons.
