Complete (467 pages) and in good, used condition. The various annotations handwritten inside indicate that it was gifted to some Virgil M. Riddle by his wife Alice on the occasion of Christmas 1943.

Virgil Monroe Riddle was born on December 30, 1910 in New Market, Tennessee and joined the US Army on April 8, 1941 (ASN 34041359). He went on to serve with Headquarters Company, 169th Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division and was discharged on March 8, 1944 as a Private. A recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the American Defense Service Medal, he passed away on October 8, 1963.
