Genuine WWII US Army 'Special' HBT overshirt, featuring an inner flap behind the front buttons and two buttons under the collar intended for attaching the antigas woolen hood.

This type, which features two buttoned-flap breast cargo pockets, was worn both as a combat jacket and as a utility jacket in the ETO, particularly in Normandy. 

Contract: April 8, 1943; size 40R. 

Complete and in mint, unissued condition — retains all original tags and labels.
