Trousers, Wool, Pink, Officer's, Elastique, US Army, Maj. Gilbert Kelley, 2nd Medical Bn., 2nd Infantry Division, ETO

Genuine WWII US Army regulation officer's pants in 'pink' shade wool, similar in shape to the dark olive drab trousers ('chocolate').

These trousers were optional for wear with the OD 51 service coat introduced in 1938.

Waist size: 34.

Quite good, worn condition despite a couple of tears under the left buttock; Conmar zipper is in working order.

Various markings visible in these trousers indicate that they once belonged to some Kelley Gilbert B., officer's ASN O-355904.

Gilbert Byron Kelley was born on April 7, 1913 in Savannah, Missouri. He became a Medical Doctor in 1937 and joined the US Army on January 10, 1941. He went on to serve with 2nd Infantry Division, deployed to Europe, and was discharged on February 8, 1946 as Division Surgeon with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He passed away on January 16, 2000.
