Genuine WWII US Navy chest set and earphones intended for being used with the Mk 2 helmet (not provided); this full radio set is made up of the headset featuring a pair of receivers, the microphone and its chest mount, as well as the wire.
Manufactured by Radio Corporation of America in Camden, New Jersey.
Designed in 1942, the Mk 2 was a very large helmet to wear but it did serve its purpose very well. It was designed to accommodate headphones for radiomen or anyone using shipboard sound-powered phones.
Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
