Great genuine WWII USAAF Type B-2 winter flying cap, manufactured by Shaw-Barton, Inc. in Coshocton, Ohio.
Label still present: Spec. No. 94-3096-A and AAF Order No. 43-76-AF. Size 7 ¼.
This type became popular with both aircrews and ground crews soon after its introduction in 1939. Made of one-forth-inch sheep shearling, it was worn through the end of the war in most theaters of operations despite efforts to limit its use to ground personnel.

Genuine WWII US Army OD wool serge trousers of the 'Special' type -- standard issue with an early anti-vesicant special feature in the shape of a triangular flap behind the fly. Issued to Other Ranks.

Good overall condition; name Donald Z. Faulk and laundry number F0453 have been handwritten inside.
Donald Zed Faulk was born on December 11, 1923 in Chadron, Nebraska and joined the US Army on September 23, 1942 (ASN 17150453). He went on to serve with the USAAF and spent some time with the 327th and 326th Fighter Groups. He was discharged on February 11, 1946 as a Sergeant and died in a car accident on June 12, 1969.

Excellent overall condition; retains all original buttons and insignia -- U.S. and Air Corps collar discs, 8th Air Force shoulder sleeve insignia embroidered on felt (made in Britain), Staff Sergeant rank stripes, and sterling silver aerial gunner badge (pin back) featuring a nice blue felt backing, which indicated that the wearer served in a combat unit.
