Genuine WWII USAAF pilot log book.

Complete and in good overall condition; once belonged to some Lieutenant Hugh Wilson, Jr. from his basic training on Beechcraft AT-7 in August 1944 to his last flights on Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress in Europe in April 1945.

Hugh Wilson, Jr. was born on 1923 in Woodlawn, Maryland and joined the US Army on March 31, 1943 (ASN 33718421). He was awarded his navigator's badge on November 18, 1944 as a 2nd Lieutenant (officer's ASN O-2077514) and went on to serve in Europe with 525th Bomb. Squadron, 379th Bomb. Group, 8th Air Force, participating in seven combat missions over Germany, plus one over Royan, France on April 15, 1945. He was discharged on March 28, 1946 as a 1st Lieutenant, and passed away on April 26, 1999. His brother William, also serving as a navigator in the 8th Air Force, was killed in action on April 19, 1945 when his own B-17 was shot down during a raid on Dreden, Germany.
