Great genuine WWII USAAF Type B-15 intermediate flying jacket, introduced in April 1944 and intended for being worn with the Type A-11 trousers. Featuring a fur collar, this alpaca-lined poplin jacket shows two slash pockets on the front and two inner pockets, all fitted with a snap fastener -- in working order. Talon zipper is damaged. Complete and in good overall condition; label is missing. Shoulder width: 21in. Sleeve length: 24in.

Knife, Assembly, Emergency Curved, Clothing, USAAF, Western
Genuine WWII American survival knife, as issued in the emergency lifeboats (dinghy) and also carried by individuals on flight. AAF classification No. 17-B. This knife is able to float thanks to its wooden handle. Manufactured by Western . During the war, the USAAF acquired various emergency devices to improve their own equipment, particularly in the ETO. One of these items was the British RAF Dinghy Knife, to be included with survey rafts and subsequently adopted as a first-aid knife.

William Henry Norris was born on June 18,1919 in Jasonville, Indiana and joined the US Army on February 10, 1942. Letter, Pfc. Ray Geddes, Co. G, 501st PIR, 1943
Original letter and envelope sent to Private First Class Raymond G. Geddes, Jr. , 501st PIR by his father while Ray was taking part in the Tennessee maneuvers. Postmarked on September 16, 1943.
