Goggles, Type E-1, green, 1943
Genuine WWII US goggles, Type E-1, green lenses, dated 1943. These were designed to protect the eyes from wind and dust, with tinted acetate lenses. Marking 1943 is inked on the inside of the leather frame. Manufactured by S. Froehlisch. Mainly used by US airborne troops during the jump.

Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to Corporal Harry W. Fuchs , Company A, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, and includes the following items: - other ranks wool serge off-duty jacket, retaining all original buttons and insignia: 82nd Airborne Division shoulder patch, Corporal rank stripes, U.S. and Infantry collar discs, parachutist's badge, ribbon bars (Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one Arrowhead and three Stars, WWII Victory Medal), Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert badge with 'Pistol' and 'Rifle' bars, Distinguished Unit Citation, 'Ruptured Duck', Overseas Service Bars, Service Stripes, and fourrageres; laundry number F-5985 and name tag Fuchs are still visible inside; - other ranks garrison cap, featuring an amazing lining handcrafted from a camouflage parachute canopy, showing the light blue piping of the Infantry and adorned with the Airborne generic insignia; - M1941 short windbreaker jacket, windproof and water-resistant cotton poplin with flannel lining, retaining all original buttons and insignia: Army Ground Forces Replacement Depots (left) and 82nd Airborne Division (right) shoulder patches, Corporal rank stripes; cuffs and collar have been repaired; Talon zipper is in working order; - two 'Ardennes-Alsace 1944-1945' campaign streamers. A file containing copies of various documents related to his wartime service complete this interesting and homogeneous lot, in very good overall condition. See below for further information.

Grouping, Pvt. Lawrence Underhill, 82nd Airborne Division, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some Private Lawrence F. Underhill , made up of the following artefacts: - dog tag issued to Underhill L.F. , ASN 37710418, vaccinated against tetanus in 1944 and 1945, blood type O, Protestant; - parachutist's badge hallmarked Sterling , pin back (in working order); - 82nd Airborne Division shoulder sleeve insignia, two-piece version; - U.S. collar disk; - 'Rutpured Duck' lapel badge; - camouflaged parachute canopy scarf. Lawrence Frederick Underhill was born on December 12, 1925 in Stratton, Nebraska and joined the US Army on July 24, 1944. He was awarded his 'jump wings' and went on to serve in Europe with the 82nd Airborne Division. Grouping, S/Sgt. Russell Weishuhn, Co. C, 326th Engineer Bn., 101st Airborne Division, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to Staff Sergeant Russell F. Weishuhn , Company C, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and includes the following items: -duffle bag, f eaturing a shoulder strap; this green canvas bag was larger and sturdier than the Barrack Bag and could be secured with a padlock; m ention S/Sgt. Russell F. Weishuhn and ASN 36175973 have been stenciled above some illegible tactical number and an invasion code made up of three horizontal bars (brown-ochre-brown); - 101st Airborne Division, with separate tab; - paratroops cap badge (twill), of the red version specific to the Corps of Engineers, shown in a small frame; - set of seven wartime photographs, taken in the USA and in England, in which appear Russell F. Weishuhn and some of his comrades. Nice homogeneous lot, in good overall condition. Russell F. Weishuhn was born on May 13, 1921 in Whittemore, Michigan and joined the US Army on March 17, 1942 (ASN 36175973). He went on to serve with Company C, 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and deployed to Europe. Genuine WWII US M-341 gunstock, for Signal Lamp Equipment SE-11, which could be used with its tripod or carried by a signalman thanks to its gunstock. One such lamp was issued to each Parachute Infantry Rifle Company as part of the SE-11 Signal Lamp Equipment Set (as stated in TO/E 7-37, Infantry Rifle Company, Parachute). Helmet, Flying, Summer, Type A-8, USAAF, Paratrooper, 1942, Large
Nice genuine WWII USAAF Type A-8 summer flying helmet, khaki gabardine. Standardized on October 12, 1933 for the Air Corps, this helmet was mostly worn by paratroops in both training and actual combat conditions. Seen in period photos of most campaigns -- Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Holland... See D-Day Publishing books: Carentan (pp. 80-81), Sainte-Mère-Eglise ( p. 117), and Bridges Are Ours ( p. 900). Dated 1942. Size: Large. Good overall condition; comes along with a US Navy leather chin cup.
