Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet liner, manufactured by Inland.

Specific type intended for Airborne troops, as worn by paratroopers on D-Day. 

Very good overall condition; retains its khaki cotton web suspension, russet leather sweatband, plain A washers, A yokes, and leather chincup.

The outer surface retains most of its original paint; a small crack, located on the right-hand side, shows signs of repair.
