Produced by the MI9, this type was first intended for SOE agents, Jedburgh Teams and OSS Operation Groups. On the occasion of Operation Overlord, this map was widely issued to the 6th British Airborne Division, and to the 82nd and 101st US Airborne Divisions.
The present map, which is in excellent overall condition, shows annotations indicating the itinerary used by its former owner, from Normandy in August to Luxembourg in December.
