Helmet, Mk II, British, 1942, Beach Group, D-Day

Rare genuine WWII British Mk II helmet, retaining its original liner and chinstrap.

Markings on the shell are hardly legible; the liner was manufactured by Briggs Motor Bodies in Dagenham, England in 1942.

The outer surface has been adorned with a white stripe on its circumference, indicating that the present helmet may have seen service with a Beach Group, while name J. Adamson has been painted in red capital letters on the inner surface.

Quite good, worn condition; shows some general corrosion.
