Genuine WWII US Army M1936 field bag, khaki canvas, issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel such as airborne troops and armored crews. Mention 'British Made' and year of production 1944 are visible under the flap.
Quite good, used condition. Various markings have been stenciled or written at the back of the bag -- name Julian F. Moon, ASN 34689532, name George Paylor, and number R-5955-6.
Julian Farris Moon was born on May 30, 1924 in Winder, Georgia and joined the US Army on February 11, 1943 (ASN 34689532). He passed away on September 25, 1985.
