Rare genuine WWII French Infanterie de l'Air parachute badge, created in 1938.
Standard regulation insignia, embroidered on felt, of the type issued to the 1er Régiment de Chasseurs Parachutistes in Colmar.
The 1er RCP was created in French Morocco in June 1943 and first saw action in the Vosges in October 1944; the unit went on to fight with bravery in Eastern France in the winter of 1944-1945, from Hill 1008 to Colmar and Strasbourg.
Perfect condition.
