Helmet, M38, Luftwaffe, Fallschirmjäger, Normandy
Rare genuine WWII German M38 helmet shell, of the type intended for paratroopers, showing some scarce remnants of paint on the outer surface.
Hallmark ET 63, which is hardly legible, is still visible on the inner surface, indicating a production by Eisenhüttenwerk in Thale, Saxe-Anhalt.
Quite good overall condition; retains all original rivets and doesn't show any distortion.
Found in Normandy.
