Mask, Gas, M38, German, 1942, with Canister, 1940, Named, Camouflage, Three-Tone

Genuine WWII German M38 gas mask, retaining its FE 41 filter cartridge, original lenses and straps.

Dated 1942; size 1.

Last name Nowitzki has been painted in white capital letters on the filter cartridge.

Comes in its original canister (height: 10.90in), dated 1940, which shows remnants of the typical 'three-tone' camouflage on its outer surfaces; spare lenses are still present in the inner compartment intended for that purpose, while the 'spider' gasket and cleaning cloth have remained at the bottom of the canister. 

Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition, found in Montargis, Loiret département, France.
