Nice genuine WWII US Army OD wool garrison cap, featuring the officers' black and gold piping.
Corresponds to size 6 ⅞.
Very good, worn condition; retains its original 1st Lieutenant rank insignia and generic airborne insignia, of the type introduced in March 1944 and intended for both paratroopers and glidermen.
Various indications, including name McCormick and officer's ASN O-1875085, have been written on the reverse of the russet leather sweatband.
