Rare genuine WWI US Army M1918 trench knife, featuring the characteristic knuckle cast handle and double-edged blade.
Manufactured by L.F. & C. in 1918.
This type was widely issued to US Rangers, Marines and paratroopers during WWII, until officially superseded by the USM3 in 1943. However, many warriors still preferred the M1918 Trench Knife, as seen in numerous wartime photos.
The present knife, which is in quite good overall condition, has not undergone any modification.
Comes in its original metal scabbard.
