Genuine WWII US Navy M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by Schlueter, shell number 27A.

Early canvas chinstrap fitted with brass buckle and hook (oxidized).

Some Ensign rank insignia and initials USN have been painted on the front.

Comes along with its original liner manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances Co., retaining its canvas suspension and neckband, leather sweatband and OD-painted A washers (oxidized). 

Nice homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition.
