Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, US Navy, SEAMAN PAPER CO. Liner

Genuine WWII US Navy M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 306B.

Canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook.

The shell has been entirely covered with a layer of dark blue-gray paint, which has stiffened the right-hand side of the chinstrap; number 29 has been painted (yellow) on the rear, just above initials BN (red).

Comes along with its original liner, manufactured by Seaman Paper Co., retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and blackened-brass A washers; red initials BN have been painted on the rear.

Nice homogeneous set in good, worn condition.
