Trousers, Mountain Troops & FSSF
Genuine WWII US Army trousers in cotton sateen material, introduced for mountain troops in 1942.
Size 34 x 33.
These tapered-leg trousers feature two slanted side pockets closing by a Talon zipper; the two large cargo pockets on the thighs -- pleated down the middle -- are covered by wide flaps with two buttons; both hip pockets also feature a buttoned flap; Talon zipper fly and two buttons on the waistband; the leg bottoms have elasticated foot loops to secure them into boots.
Mostly issued to the 10th Mountain Division and the First Special Service Force, these trousers were worn with the matching mountain jacket or reversible parka or, as later seen in the ETO, with the M-1943 jacket.
Good overall condition; come with a pair of suspenders; the left cargo pocket is missing one of its buttons.
Zippers are in working order.
