Rare genuine WWII US Army M1938 short windbreaker jacket, windproof and water-resistant cotton poplin with flannel lining.
Predating the M1941 standard issue, this early version of the field jacket features two buttoned-flap pockets.
Each shoulder loop has been adorned with a 1st Lieutenant rank insignia (cloth).
Shoulder width: 18.70in. Sleeve length: 24.20in.
Very good, worn condition; Conmar zipper is in working order.
