Genuine WWII US M1910 canteen, manufactured by A.P. Co. in 1942 and fitted with a flat stopper, retaining its cup — no production markings visible.
This lot comes in its original khaki cover of the P2 type specific to the Marine Corps, dated 1942
Markings 514 in a closed semi circle have been painted on the front of this cover, indicating that the present assembly saw service with Company C, 25th Infantry Regiment, 4th Marine Division.
Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition.

Description
Gourde M1910, Seconde Guerre mondiale, fabriquée par A.P. Co. en 1942 et munie d'un bouchon plat, accompagné de son quart sans marquages de production visibles.
L'ensemble est livré dans sa housse kaki du modèle P2 spécifique à l'US Marine Corps, datée 1942 et sous laquelle le nom Kowalski a été apposé.
Le marquage tactique 334 dans un arc de cercle fermé a été peint à l'avant de la housse, indiquant une utilisation au sein de la Company L du 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Marine Division.
Lot homogène, en bon état général.
