Genuine WWII US M8 pyrotechnic pistol; caliber: 37mm.

Aluminium frame with steel parts, bakelite grips.

Manufactured by EVCC (Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Company) in 1942.

Adopted by the USAAF and the US Navy in 1942 to supersede the M2 type, this double-action pistol could fire various flares directly from the aircraft thanks to the M1 mount (not included here).

It could be used as a conventional signal pistol, too.

Quite good, used condition.
